Coach Gutierrez enters his 15th season, 11th as head coach. An alumnus of Montebello H.S (1988), where he played for Coach Drulias, and coached with for four seasons. After High School, Coach G went on to play 2 seasons at East Los Angeles College (1989-1990), where he played for Coach Roger Lawson and Coach Al Cone. He earned team MVP in 1989 and twice was an all-conference selection. After his sophmore year he earned a full scholarship to Chapman College but opted to sign with the Kansas City Royals, who made him a 27th. round pick. After playing 2 years with K.C, he then went on to play 2 more years in the Dodgers organization. After his professional baseball stint, he ruturned to school at Whittier College and  continued on to CSU Long Beach. He earned his Degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education in 1999. He teaches Freshman Studies/Health. He enjoys traveling and  plans to visit every MLB stadium ( 11 so far). His favorite movies are Sandlot, Bull Durham, and Star Wars. He is married to the former Ms. Rosie Perez. They are proud parents of their 2 year old son Ryan.

Position: Assistant Coach
Coach Arana begins his 7th season with the Oilers. A big part of the defense that brought home a league title in 2003 and 2004. He works with the infielders and is the hitting coach. He is a graduate of Bell Gardens H.S (1994). After H.S he went on to play 4 years at Pepperdine University for Coach Frank Sanchez. He currently teaches Freshman Studies/Health at MHS. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family. Coach Arana is married to Maria Evis, they have a beautiful daughter Erica and are expecting an addition to their family in early July.
Position: Assistant Coach
Coach Meza returns for his 6th year in the program. He will work with the Of, catchers, and hitters. He's a Montebello alumnus (1991). After MHS he played two years at East Los Angeles College, where he played for Al Cone. He enjoys playing softball and baseball. His favorite movie is Tootsie and Sleepless in Seattle. He recently had a baby girl named Ariana.
Coach Manny Ayala
Position: Pitching Coach
Coach Ayala 2002 Alumnus will be new to the 2005 staff. He will be working with a young inexperienced pitching staff. Ayala, a 3 year Varsity letterman, pitched, played 3rd and SS  for Coach Gutierrez. In 2003 he spent his freshman year at Cerritos College, helping the Falcons win a Conference Championship, with an E.R.A that was in the top 10 in the state. As a sophmore he was the ace for ELAC Huskies (Coach Hines) team that was ranked #2 in the state and was Conference Champions. Coach Ayala was 2004 Conference Pitcher of the Year.This summer (2005) Manny played for the Mesa Minors of the Golden Baseball League. He was voted Roockie Pitcher of the Year after leading the leahue in wins with a 12-4 record and 3.05 ERA. His great season was rewarded with the Padres signing him in September, and being invited to instructional league.

Coach Cortez
Position: HItting/Infielder Coach
Coach Cortez returns for his 12th season in the program. He is an alumnus of MHS (1989), where he was an All-League infielder. He played 2 seasons at East Los Angeles College for Coach Cone, and earned first team all conference as a freshman while hitting over .500.He currently teaches Freshman Studies/Health.Him and his wife Melody have one son Robert, and 2 girls, Mia and Rianne.
